And Home To Mum

Ian took us all for a walk across the fields in the sunshine this morning & I didn't want to leave.

But - I'll be seeing my mum soon.........

.......& I can show her all the new tricks I've learnt!

Bath Day

This morning we walked up on the canal with Ian whilst Amanda stayed in bed with a cuppa. Ian left with three black & white collies & came back with three black ones!! It was that muddy.

We were then going to go for a walk in Langdale but Amanda & Ian got a call saying someone wished to view their house so we went home & then later on went to Errwood Reservoir for a swim.

When we got in we were so dirty that Amanda thought we needed a bath!!! I can't understand why - I like mud!!

House Hunting

Amanda & Ian went to view some houses today which was good for us dogs as they like to explore all the walks at each house they view to see if they are doggy suitable!

Our first walk was in the woods at Silverdale & the sun was out, the second was in Kentmere - that was cold & the third was on the beach at Humphry Head & we jumped in the sea & got very wet & sandy!!

Around Birch Vale

Last night Siula and I went to sleep on the dog beds and Storm went to sleep on the bedroom floor but when Amanda woke up this morning I was lying on one side of her, Siula on the other & Storm across her feet - now that was very snuggly!!!

There are still a few thing about humans that puzzle me - like when us dogs go to all the trouble of shedding fur on our beds to make them extra warm - why do humans Hoover all the fur off - Siula and I tried to stop Amanda by chasing the Hoover but we still got clean beds in the end - now we will have to start all over again!!

We had 2 good walks today - we went up the fell behind the house in the morning & then into the woods this afternoon.

We also played ball in the yard but it was much more exciting to chase the broom Amanda was trying to sweep the yard with!!!

Haverthwaite For The Day

Oh boy did we have fun today - we went for a walk in the woods & the mill race was nearly overflowing, it was really, really muddy and we had so much fun splashing in it & even more fun running up to Amanda & shaking the mud all over her!!!

We went down by the river too but didn't get very far as it was really high and over the lane - it was nearly to the top of the bridge!!! We saw a steam train when we arrived at Haverthwaite - now that was really good too!!!

Amanda and Denise had lunch in a pub called The Anglers whilst we had Pedigree Denta Stix - yummy!

We went for another walk in the woods in the afternoon - this time the sun was shining but it was very, very windy!

Tonight, along with Bakers Biscuit and a tin of Pedigree Chum, we had mashed potatoes, peas and gravy - all with my mum's permission of course!!

A Very Lazy Day

We all went up to Snake Pass today for a walk but couldn't park so we drove over to Ladybower and admired the view along a little footpath along the lake shore then we went home & played in the field behind the house.

Ian took us for a walk in the evening & then we played tug and chase with loads of toys all evening.

At bed time I decided to take over Suila's bed - it's really nice, it's all fleecy with collie dogs on it & then I was really sneaky & stretched out on Storms too!!! His bed has dog paws on it!

Near Kinder Scout In The Rain

Ok, so why do humans insist on going out in the rain? I mean personally I'd rather curl up by the fire, but no! we all had to go for a walk!!!

......but we did have fun, we got wet & muddy & played tag & chase & then all dived into the river for a swim, I couldn't convince Amanda to jump in the river with us though - pity!

We came out really clean & then just for badness jumped in the mud just before jumping in the car - oh what great fun!

A Rainy Day & Lantern Pike

Ian went off to work this morning after taking us out for a walk & then it rained & rained & rained so we snuggled up in front of the fire for the morning after a game of tuggy.

We went out in the afternoon up Lantern Pike and had great fun bouncing through the heather - it even stopped raining for us when we got to the summit!

But what I want to know most is why I have 'do' something so I get a treat - I don't know! I have to give Amanda my paw, or sit, or lie down or wait & only then do I get anything! It's certainly not a dog's life around here - you have to work for your treats!!! I even got fed after the cats tonight!!

Frizbee Days

Last night was great fun - Amanda and Ian decided to sleep in front of the wood burning stove so I got prime spot on the pillows for the night, Storm slept on their feet & Siula was along side Ian - Amanda (of course) got the side with the stove!!!

Our morning walk was along the canal and in the afternoon we went for a frizbee throwing session in the fields near Crook.

The day ended with a visit to Ian's mum & dads, a game of tuggy with the ball in front of the fire & a late night walk.

A Fun Day

This morning we managed to get 2 walks!!! Ian took us out & then Amanda took us out again!! We went for a nice walk in the sun along the lane on the top of the fell and then got really, really muddy on the way back - now that was good fun!!! We even got sausage & chips for lunch!!!!

This afernoon we went to Windermere and had lots of fun playing frizbee and swimming in the lake.

Arrival

Hi, my names Pip & I'm a black & white Border Collie, my mum's gone to Grand Canaria for a holiday so I'm off to stay with Siula and Storm with their owners Amanda and Ian.

I arrived safely after a very slow, rainy, foggy car ride down the M1 after saying goodbye to Mum in Leeds.

We had lots of fun when I arrived playing tuggy and bounce the ball with Siula & Storm & we went for a walk in the dark in the field behind the house.

Tea was a mixture of Bakers meal & Butchers tin dog food that was really scrummy. I finished mine before Siula & Storm and beat them both back to pack leaders position in front of the fire.

When we went to bed I decided that I wanted to sleep on the bed with Amanda & Ian but for some reason they didn't think 3 border collies would fit - I really can't think why? so us Collie's all had to sleep on the floor!
